Favourite Gogglebox graduate Scarlett Moffatt all set to return to Oz in I’m A Celebrity Extra Spin Off Show

The world’s turning upside down once again for Scarlett Moffatt, as she returns down under to present the new series of I’m A Celebrity Extra Camp.

After her rapid rise to fame with those witty one liners in Gogglebox, Scarlett truly captured the hearts of viewers of last year’s I’m a Celebrity, showing plenty of courage throughout the tasks, conquering her fears and well deservedly taking the crown as Queen of the Jungle.

Since then, Scarlett has been inundated with job offers, performing credibly with Ant and Dec on their Saturday Night Takeaway and co-hosting the prestigious National Television Awards alongside Dermot O’Leary.

She is currently totally fab in the Channel 4 revival of Streetmate, in which as always, she goes the extra mile, even leaping over benches to help love hungry peeps find a date.

Now in a hugely popular decision, Scarlett is to present Extra Camp on ITV2 this Autumn. She is rumoured to be replacing ex-Geordie Shore Star, Vicki Pattinson and comedian Chris Ramsey and it seems likely the show will double in popularity with the bubbly and hilarious Scarlett at the helm.

A source told The Sun, “This is a huge gig for Scarlett and one she’s worked hard to get. Last year’s show was just a bit too chaotic for producers, so they wanted to switch things up. The current plan is to have Scarlett host the show alongside two other presenters.” It is suggested that Scarlett will be working with Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash who are set to return after their previous popularity on the show.

The source continued,  “It’s a massive test for Scarlett but ITV were chuffed with her in the jungle and the job she did on Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway so think she’s well worth the punt.”

It’s not only Scarlett’s great sense of humour but also her total normality that makes her so popular with viewers. She tweeted after filming Streetmate, “I didn’t know Davina knew I existed and I was running round the house saying ‘got a tweet from Davina!’ She was just like ‘oh I wish you all the luck in the world and you’ll be fab.’ It was really nice.”

So it’s all set for Scarlett to be back on our screens for that compulsory antidote to winter blues - our annual dose of Australian sun, snakes and nasty critters and personally I can’t wait. For those Gogglers who are missing Scarlett from their weekly dose of Gogglebox, at least we can look forward to getting our Moffatt fix in November.
