Gogglebox dedicated their Christmas special to Leon Bernicoff

by

When i saw an advert on TV of this new show called Gogglebox, i was thinking to myself.. okay this could be interesting, really interesting and i was so right, its probably the BEST programme on TV at the moment.. so obviously i would spend my Christmas Eve watching the Gogglebox Xmas special, and this is what i thought.

I find it really hard to ever say anything bad about this programme, i love every family/couple individually, Chris and Stephen are the funniest pair ever, they are so honest about everything, you just want to be BFFs with them!! The Malone Family are also up there with my faves, Dave the Dog is the star of the show, especially when he headbutted Tom (Dad Malone) in the face, They are a proper family and its so nice to watch them all get on so well. Mary and Marina.. they are just the sweetest people ever, they are the kind of ladies you would love to take out for tea and cake once a week and catch up.. or maybe that just me..
So, the christmas special reminded us all of what great TV has been on this year, From Crystal Maze, to Strictly Come Dancing to I'm A Celebrity (my absolute fave, i wait all year for Ant and Dec to bless my TV screen). My Whole Family were crying when they showed the repeat of Crystal Maze, i mean, i have NO idea what thought process was going through that blokes head when he was trying to get across the obstacles, it looked ridiculously easy but to be honest, it probably wasn't.. he was swinging left to right, going back and starting again to then just completely face planting the floor *crying*
Im a Celebrity is my programme of the year, every November i cancel all of my plans, i get into bed for 9pm, sit back, relax and watch a bunch of celebrities eating kangaroo balls, i think this year is probably one of my favourites, and i think the gogglebox families agree, The Tamper families reaction to Amir pulling the snake out the wall was literally my reaction when i watched it and i HATE snakes.

Now, this progamme im about to speak about is a strange one... Naked Attraction.. yes that's right, someone will choose who they want to date by staring at them completely naked, Mary and Marinas face was something i will never forgot, i don't think they were expecting that at all, complete shock horror. Giles and Mary were also in complete shock, Mary looking at the wall and Giles covering his eyes with the TV control!! hahahah.
Anyway, i could go on for hours, The best thing about the Christmas Special is you look back on the year, and remember how great the tv was, shows were popping up which i completely forgot were on but i secretly loved them (Crystal Maze) and watching the reactions from everyone makes you realise you aren't the only person sitting infront of the TV pulling numerous facial expressions and crying with laughter with the comments they come out with (mostly Stephen).

Also, i would like to take this opportunity to send my love out to June and the rest of their family, Leon was a hero, he will be missed by so many.

RIP Leon x

Tributes paid to Gogglebox star Leon Bernicoff who has died aged 83

by

Gogglebox star Leon Bernicoff has died today (23/12/17), following a short illness, Channel 4 have said.

83-year-old Leon and his wife June were best known for their appearances on Gogglebox, where couples and families across Britain are filmed watching TV.

Sadly Leon passed away in hospital earlier today after “a short illness”.

Channel 4 and Studio Lambert said: "It is with a heavy heart that we announce the sad news that after a short illness Gogglebox's Leon Bernicoff passed away in hospital earlier today.

"Leon and his wife June were the first members of the public to be cast for Gogglebox back in early 2013, and they soon grew to become much-loved voices during the course of the show's 10 series to date.

"Leon's unique personality and sharp wit endeared him to fans of the show, as he contributed fully to Gogglebox's reputation as a programme full of warm humour and unvarnished opinion.

"To those of us that knew him personally, Leon was a man of unwavering principles who exerted a distinct paternal presence both on and off screen. He will be dearly missed by the entire Gogglebox family; cast and crew."

Dave the dog was enjoying santa

The Siddiqui’s kick off the final episode of the series with a game of sprout darts on a jumper!

Giles and Mary are getting into the festive spirit and decorating their Christmas Tree. Giles tells Mary that it’s nice for them to do things together.

“He’s spinning her around like a fidget spinner!” Ellie tells Izzy as they watch Joe McFadden’s dance on last week’s Strictly Come Dancing.

Dad Malone’s wearing a Christmas outfit this week, much to the dismay of the Malone dogs

“I’m finding this imbecilic” Mary tells Giles as they watch Nigella walking through the woods in her new cooking show. Izzy and Mary can’t understand how Nigella is just so happy all the time!

ITV News reported the snowy weather which some parts of the UK have been experiencing in the last week. “What he needs is chains on his wheels natty” Giles says as a clip was shown of someone trying to get up a Hill in a car.

George had an awkward moment as he had to watch Pete and Linda have a kiss!

“That’s them having a posh barmy” Dad Malone says as the Malones watch The Crown.

Shawn’s having a bit of trouble with an elf headband as it’s too small, much to the amusement of the rest of the Malone clan.

“Why am I watching a man eat a pig’s vagina?” Louis asks as Iain Lee completes a bush tucker trial on I’m a Celebrity.

Mamma Mia was the film featured on tonight’s episode. Dad Malone hates musicals!

Giles has got some great Christmas Presents ideas

by
“Nice fire for you natty” Giles tells Mary as he wants to make sure that she keeps warm during the cold weather, Mary then proceeds to discuss people getting divorce!

During I’m A Celebrity, the families discuss how disgusting the trials are, “Oh I couldn’t do it” Pat tells Stephen. The Goggleboxers joined in with the trial as they tried to guess the songs which the celebrities hummed while they had critters in their mouths.

Mary and Marina are having a pamper night whilst watching the tv in the hope of getting rid of their wrinkles!

“You like coconut cakes!” June tells Leon as they watch Paul Hollywood reminisce about his school dinners when he was younger. The families thought it was unfair on the two schoolchildren that Paul wasn’t letting them join in with making coconut cake and just got them to watch instead. Mary called Paul a ‘patronising git’ when he said that the children helped him make the cake when they didn’t.

ITV News featured a vital update on Brexit this week, “how embarrassing innit” Lee tells Jenny as  ITV News discusses the issues with the Irish border.

“They always go all out on the final” Izzy tells Ellie as they settle down to watch The X Factor. Everyone enjoyed Rak-Su’s winning performance. “Do you think we’d be more excited if we were there Natty?” Giles asks Mary.

Tom junior’s been teaching Tom senior some dance moves this week!

“Ooh they hop!” Linda tells Pete as they watched Blue Planet. Everyone was amazed to discover that crabs hop!

“I only bought these yesterday” Stephen tells Pat as he brings in a box of chocolates. Pat was shocked to find out that Stephen ate 30 Ferrero Rocher in one night!

Lee gets locked in the toilet!

by
This weeks episode begins with a sleepy Jenny being awoken by Lee, who happens to be locked in the toilet!

“I bet she’ll end up with her legs round his neck” Jenny tells Lee as they watch Debbie McGee on Strictly. “Bet she’s loving that, wrapping her legs around Giovanni” Chris remarks to Stephen. Giles compares one of the dance moves to him trying to kick his wellies off!

“Oh my god, how lovely!” Linda tells Pete as ITV News revealed the news that Prince Harry is engaged to be married to Meghan Markle earlier this week. The news reminded Mary about a fling Giles had with an American woman once. Stephen’s not impressed that Meghan Markle wants to travel around the commonwealth and he’ll have to pay for it!

“How can you find dogs that are missing?” Julie asks as the families watch Lost and Found. Stephen thought that it was like watching a dodgy Victoria Wood sketch when it was revealed that one of the missing dogs was found at home.

Jenny’s lost BBC 1 on her TV so she heads off outside to sort the aerial out while Lee plays around with the TV, Jenny gives up after a while because it’s too cold outside!

Whilst watching I’m A Celebrity, Lee and Jenny discuss the fact that they didn’t know who Iain Lee was before the show, Lee was less than impressed when before beginning a Bush Tucker Trial Iain asked Ant and Dec if he looks okay.

ITV News were reporting about how much more expensive Christmas Dinner is going to be this year. “They need to be more like how my Tony is, going to three or four different shops” Chris explains.

Tom Senior has a cold, and is resorting to a steam bath with some Vicks however his eyes were stinging!

“I love it when they do a made up language” Stephen tells Chris whilst watching Avatar. “Are they doing it? Jenny asks Lee during an intimate moment in the film, “Well she’s panting for some reason!” Lee remarks.

On Thursday night, Channel 4 gave us an insight into sex robots. “Pretty good for an entry level model” which was an unfortunate turn of phrase from Giles!
