Gogglebox won the Factual Entertainment Programme award at the National Television Awards last Tuesday.
Sisters Ellie and Izzi Warner accepted the award on behalf of the entire cast and dedicated it to both Leon and June.
Izzi said: “It’s the fourth year in a row that we’ve won, so it’s just a real privilege. And we are here representing the whole of Gogglebox, the whole cast. Everybody puts so much hard work into it.”
Ellie then added: “We’d like to just dedicate this award to Leon and June.”
Leon and June, from Liverpool, were the first couple to be cast in the Channel 4 show when it began in 2013.
Channel 4 and production company Studio Lambert paid tribute to the TV favourite's "unique personality and sharp wit" when news of his death broke.
I would like to say as a fan page i just want to say THANK YOU to June who has let us in every Friday night for the past 4 years and have let us join you. You will never be forgotten and i hope to still see you on twitter.
